In addition to my privately offered classes, I have served as an instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Currently, I am on the faculty for Western Colorado University's M.F.A. Screenwriting program. TV Writing for the Actor

An eight-week TV writing course, tailored specifically to actors, that will help you mine your personal narrative to find the stories you should be telling (and selling). You will learn how to break story, structure an outline, and write dialogue. Each week in our three-hour class we’ll workshop your writing - utilizing vocabulary, exercises, and concepts already familiar to actors - to shape your original pilot script. In this small class of 8 - 10 students, you’ll receive individualized attention in a supportive, constructive environment of fellow actors. Don’t wait for the perfect role...write it.

Pilot Polish

A mini session to push forward with your pilot or polish a complete draft. This class is open to returning students. New students must apply and be accepted to the class.

Are you looking for feedback on an existing pilot or screenplay? Do you need help crafting a pitch or writing a spec for fellowships? Kim offers one-on-one coaching for experienced and aspiring writers. Coaching is done hourly and one-on-one.

Pitch Workshop

A hands-on workshop that guides you through the process of pitching your television series -- from idea to articulation to presentation. Students must apply and be accepted to the workshop.

Advanced TV Writing

This class is open to returning students who possess a strong understanding of structure and story. Continue working on your pilot or start something new. Each week you'll receive feedback on your script while honing your craft and building your community.

You will learn how to break story, structure an outline, and write dialogue. Each week in our three-hour class we’ll workshop your writing to shape your original pilot script. In this small class of 8 - 10 students, you’ll receive individualized attention in a supportive, constructive environment.

Acting for the TV Writer

A two-day workshop that introduces TV and screenwriters to the vocabulary, exercises, and methods actors utilize when approaching a script. Through exploring the actors' tools, writers will deepen their understanding of character-driven storytelling.
